Baylor Genetics, a leading clinical diagnostic laboratory in genetic testing, has introduced two new panels for epilepsy diagnosis. The Epilepsy Panel examines 397 genes related to epilepsy, including Angelman syndrome, Rett syndrome, SCN1A-related epilepsies, and more. It is conducted using next-generation sequencing on an exome backbone. The STAT Epilepsy Panel, designed for patients experiencing new seizures or changes in seizure patterns, is also available.
