Baltimore, MD – Sept 22, 2025 – Scanogen Inc. has received a $2.9 million grant from the NIH/NIAID to scale its rapid diagnostic platform for life-threatening yeast bloodstream infections. Powered by proprietary SMART technology, the system delivers results directly from blood samples in hours—far faster than traditional blood cultures.
The funding will support FDA-compliant production, software upgrades, and preparation for clinical trials. CEO Dr. Al Celedon stated the grant is a major step toward faster diagnosis and improved patient survival.
